Sloppy Joes: Never Buy Manwich Again!

I love Sloppy Joes. They are quick, easy, and delicious! There are so many recipes out there though, and how do you begin to choose? Here is my own recipe, with a few tweaks and from a combination of several recipes. Now, as in usual fashion, I will add some pictures with the instructions, after listing the ingredients. This one though, does in fact have measurements. I measured how much I put in, just for you!

 While the Meat is Cooking:

- 1 1/2lbs. ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, diced finely
- 1 green pepper, opt., diced finely
- 1 tablespoon butter

 For the Sauce:
- Ketchup, 1 cup
- Water, 1/2 cup
- Brown Sugar, 1/4 cup
- 2-3 tablespoons of Mustard (prepared)
- 2-3 tablespoons Barbeque Sauce
- 2 tablespoons of minced garlic

I used my Onion Chopper to dice the onion and pepper. I didn't have a pepper this time, but just chop it together with the onion. You don't have to use a chopper, but it is a lot easier.
Now, saute the onion and peppers together with the onions, until about 1/2 way cooked.
Add the ground beef, and cook until browned.
Meanwhile, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, water, sugar, garlic, and barbeque sauce.
Once the meat is fully cooked, drain and rinse it. Place it back in the pan, and add the sauce. Boil at a small boil for about 15 minutes. Let cook 5 minutes previous to eating it.
All done! This meal usually takes about 30 minutes to make. Yum!
